short description of interest in joining forum:
I did not leave acutely. I sort of slowly drifted away from their influence over time. I remember one deciding instance where on taking my partner to a "retreat" I was told by the Seniors that it was either Baba or her, (my partner). Thanks to her I now avoid them although still have a friend whom I keep in touch with who is still a BK, I believe. Also I found out I had a genetic disease PKD which the doctors told me would require dialysis and then a transplant. On asking the BK Seniors their, and Baba's, opinion on this, they informed me that there was, "no point in prolonging life". That was 13 years ago and after 3 years of dialysis, from 2006 and a renal transplant in 2009, from my aforementioned partner, I am writing this now in generally good health, all things considered. I only have myself to blame for lost years but feel that society has a moral right to stop this kind of thing happening.
