Re: Experiences of negative psychic influence/possession for BKs

21 Nov 2009

Hi Starchild, I really appreciated your comments. I have actually been wondering about post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but according to the descriptors for diagnosis given on websites, my symptoms don't seem to quite fit. "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, is an anxiety disorder that...

Hi All, Wow, so many interesting points to think about. Thanks especially to Starchild for sharing some personal experiences of the matter. It helps me to know I am not the only one who has experienced some kind of psychic attack or lingering negative influences related to our BK involvement. Knowin...

Australia follows suit ... Xenophon hits out at Scientology . Independent senator Nick Xenophon has accused the Church of Scientology of being a criminal organisation, calling for it to be investigated by police and the parliament. Senator Xenophon on Tuesday used parliamentary privilege to attack ...

Re: Scientology found guilty of fraud in France!!!

Normally we would frown on governments taking a stand on banning or punishing religious groups as anti-democratic, but why should a spiritual group get away with coercive and misleading practices that any business would be closed down for? France sees Scientology as “a purely commercial operation de...

Re: Experiences of negative psychic influence/possession for BKs

Hi Alladin, We talked before about most gatherings of BK, where you can see no vitality, no beauty. Their life force, Ki, is gone!! Whenever I/we here, used the term "zombie", it was not meant as an insult, rather to describe in one word, this condition where the person has lost his life a...

Re: "2012" - a new film about the end of the world

15 Nov 2009

Ooh, so many spelling mistakes, it's a bit hard to take seriously. I'd like to read the article it is based on - but I couldn't find a Journal of Nature, Science and Technology listed anywhere. All I found was a news article about the way that doomsday cultists have inferred their own meaning onto t...

Re: "Cult hopping" after exiting the BKs?

15 Nov 2009

Some really interesting points raised here, especially: Never mind a 'religion', at what point does a 'cult' become a 'culture'. It seems to me that cults, cultic behaviour, cultishness are the way large proportions of all societies are controlled, mostly the mainstream and lower classes. There are ...

Re: "Cult hopping" after exiting the BKs?

13 Nov 2009

I thought, just for fun and as part of my efforts at trying to piece my life together again, I would compile a list of some of the other "spiritual" groups I got involved with to varying extents after my exit from the BKs in 1985. Here's the list in no particular order and there are probab...

Re: How I felt myself alien to this world

13 Nov 2009

Hi Jeevanmukti, Thanks for your post. I am glad to hear that you have honoured yourself, and broken free from the BKs. I soon recognized that most of them were burning in hate for themselves. How can a journey with God be without joy and love for yourself? Your observations are spot on. You sound ve...

Re: Leaving BKSWU - out with a bang, or fading away quietly?

13 Nov 2009

Hi Dutybound, I appreciate your comments. You raise an important point : Is it not fading away but fading in - to one's own truth and relationship with their god. I totally agree that meditation, study of spiritual literature, celibacy and vegetarian lifestyle can be conducive to spiritual developme...

Re: Bitterness; the Silent Disease of Women

And the double whammy for me is that I actually left the BKWSU just before I turned 21! But this ridiculous life-denying crap was so lodged in my subconscious that it continued to rob me of my life for the next 25 years!!!! ...what are we doing with all that un-dealt with pain in our hearts? With th...

Hi Ex-I, I was actually thinking about this matter just yesterday, and it was going to be my next new topic - but I wasn't sure how to start, so I am glad you posted this. I can relate to the article so much - about how bitterness can eat away at us and rob us of health, hope and life. In my own sit...

Re: Leaving BKSWU - out with a bang, or fading away quietly?

Back to the question ... "out with a bang, or fading away quietly?", what do folks recommend? Ex-I, a very good question indeed. I have been thinking about this aspect a lot over the past 2 weeks and I've come to some interesting realisations about the effects of ongoing fear-based subcon...

Hi Rayoflight, I am sorry to hear that you still struggle with this one BK person. I don't know about whether or not your continued attempts to pursue closure with this person may be healing for you or not. I guess I am concerned that you may just risk disempowering yourself even more by allowing th...

Re: Leaving BKSWU - out with a bang, or fading away quietly?

09 Nov 2009

To Rayoflight, The organisation itself should be held responsible and a class-action suit would at least bring awareness to many, within and without the organisation, that things are not what they seem; and that those who have quietly suffered in silence and are still doing so need not suffer anymor...
