Also note that it is "Prajapati" not "prajapita".

Ancient Hindu text Manusmriti deals this topic in some detail. As per Manusmriti Ch.1 verse 69-74. 1 day of gods = 365 days of humans 1 year of gods = 365 X 365 days of humans SatYuga = 4000 god years + 400000 god years preceding and suceeding twilight. Tretayuga = 4000 god years + 40000 god years p...

"Aham Brahm Asmi", does that mean I am Brahm? Exactly so. Only thing is that I am ignorant of my true nature. But then my ignorance and the searching of my true nature is also not real. It is just my sport. From that it appears there is no acknowledgment or understanding of Shiva. As per ...

There are two sects of Jains. One are Digambar Jains, whose male monks remain naked, whether in public or in private. The second are Shwetambar Jains, whose male and female monks wear white clothes from top to bottom. Actually the difference is now only semantical. Even Digambar monks do not remain...

arjun wrote:If this Murli is to be read in 'present tense' by the BKs, then where is the God Father, who is liberating everyone, present?

Of course it is Shiv Baba through Baba Virendra Dev Dixit, is it not?

Hindu Bhakti is full of the stories of demons that become more enlightened than sages by hating or fight with Krishna or some other God. Ditto by demons serving some demi-god. Yes. Shishupal hated Krishna so badly that every waking moment of his life he could not think of anything but Krishna. The ...

Can I ask you honestly, did what you say happened happen literally as you have reported? Is this how it happens in India? I do not know if it always happens so in India. I was there on a long vacation and it happened with me. Its a wonder because you were, in essence, inducted by a lie. A patronisi...

In India, did the Government keep official records of births and deaths back in the 1890s? I would have thought that the British brought that in and it would have been a simple matter of public records. Official records were kept only for the births in hospital. Even now in India less than one fift...

I suspect, but do not know, that within the pluralistic, polytheistic Hindu tradition it is much easier to bail out and mentally deny the BK's god is only one god, or one path to the one God, amongst many. You are quite right. Hinduism is more an assemblage of several sects than a unified religion....

I have often wondered what makes westerners get attracted to BK. In my case, it was not so unusual. I was born in India as a Hindu but lived most of my life outside India. As common among immigrants, I had a sense of rootlessness. Then came BK. It sounded Indian, used Hindu vocabulary and looked vag...

Whatever is Baba’s language should be the language of the children. Baba via Veerendra Dev Dixit says Hindi is the easiest language in the world. One can learn in few months. All I can see is that Baba is being a language chauvinist. What is his basis for declaring Hindi as the easiest language, an...

Even I would agree. I agree 'something' is going, some kind of voodoo or spookery. I grew up in a small village in India. I have personally seen a few incidents where a 'spirit' came on someone and s/he started behaving strangely. A substantial number of village folks claimed that they had seen gho...

Interestingly, officially in a UN setting, the BKWSU also claimed that it was not Hindu but a New Religious Movement. However, in its Charity Commission and other nation's registration, it claims that it was set up "To promote Hinduism". What is going on here? Nothing special. BKs are doi...

The BKWSU 'knowledge' is just effectively a re writing of aspects of Hinduism, just a few numbers changed ... it's nothing new ... get it  This is one of the most common misconceptions. I have been a Hindu and I have been a BK. Apart from a common vocabulary there is nothing in common between ...

If there is any other explanation for the entry of Avyakt BapDada into Gulzar Dadiji, then I would be interested to know. Why are we ruling out the most obvious explanation? After death of Dada Lekhraj, high priests of BK needed a justification for their existence and exalted positions. Dadi Gulzar...
