The Streisand Effect came to the fore in the BKWSU when a film on its hidden history made last year by Australian BK's was banned by the Australian BK Board of Management. This banning led to great interest from BK followers, with thousands of hits on websites and views of the film on the internet.

So according to BK Wendy Sargent, official historian of the Brahma Kumaris, the important thing is not whether something is true, but whether it is serviceable : that is will it advance the cause of Brahma Kumaris. It is not a very proper position for a historian is it?
