Re: Questions for a BK

08 Nov 2009

Either that or like me we are all as dumb as rocks. "We are only smart until we realise how dumb we are," goes the saying. The BK superiority comes from the fact that they think they know the Absolute Truth of All Religions and Spirituality; and so actually, they are dumb. I like your pos...

Re: Very grateful to discover this site

07 Nov 2009

it took many many years to recover, to find out why this happened and what happened. To admit one is so vulnerable and to understand why, is a big thing. I needed to go back in time, not blaming the BKWSU for everything but trying to understand why I was such an easy victim. It is becoming clearer ...

Re: Leaving BKSWU - out with a bang, or fading away quietly?

07 Nov 2009

Hi audacity, I am really glad to read your last post. Congratulations!! Ultimately, this forum is for ex-BKs who have been hurt or abused by the organisation. I can see that there are some who were less affected, and that is good to know, but the reality is that many people have been damaged and hav...

Re: Struggle and friendship

Well said, alladin. Nothing hurts more than finding out you've been used. Some of us step off the BK stage at this point, whilst others stay on maybe determined to convince themselves that it's not true, turning every possibility over until a BK slogan arrives to cover up the wound. But the truth re...

Re: "2012" - a new film about the end of the world

07 Nov 2009

When I first saw the trailer I thought, "this will please the BKWSO" because they will watch it and think, "see, I told you we were right" ... but I hated it.

Humans have a fear instinct that some people like to exploit for their own benefit, like Roland Emmerich and the BKWSO.

Hello chai chai, Sorry to hear about your experience. I know how badly it can hurt. The disappointment we feel in regards to our so-called "Brothers" and "Sisters" behavior is like taking a cold shower on a cold winter morning in Madhuban before Amrit Vela. It's uncomfortable but...

Re: Very grateful to discover this site

02 Nov 2009

Dear Audacity, I wrote Madeleine Tobias an email and she was very quick in responding and her advice was very helpful. I am going to post it for others: 1) Make a list of the reasons you liked the cult in the first place. 2) Make a list of the reasons you may have connected to the people/person you ...

Re: Intelligent people 'less likely to believe in God'

30 Oct 2009

God or Divine is the intelligence embracing with love, care and compassion all souls of all cells of all livelihood in all universes and the emptiness between them. Maybe the intelligent emptiness. Lovely description and definition! This is exactly how I tried to explain my belief of "God"...

Academically educated people are not necessarily intelligent. You can also be educated and ignorant although academics do tend to use their brains more which might explain why they would not believe in abstract notions such as "God" let alone the BK. Maybe "education" and "i...

Re: Good quotes

True Leaders Are hardly known to their followers Next after them are the leaders The people know and admire; After them, those they fear; After them, those they despise. To give no trust Is to get no trust. When the work’s done right, With no fuss or boasting, Ordinary people say, Oh, we did it. La...
