Quality Management for Gurus (Brahma Kumaris included)?

Post19 Nov 2011

Gurus like the Brahma Kumaris are always keen to tell other people how to manage their lives and business, how about instead they accept some international quality management systems?

In August 2008, the "totally ignorant and impure", "unself-enlightened", "fag end of Kali Yuga" cult - as the god spirit and leaders of the BKWSU would define it - called the Tej Gyan Foundation of India ... not the highest on high, purer than pure Brahma Kumaris ... acquired the distinction of becoming one of the world’s first spiritual organizations to have a system for wisdom certified under ISO 9001:2000.

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the largest developer and publisher of International Standards, a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors. Many of its member institutes are part of the governmental structure of their countries or are mandated by their government, others have their roots in the private sector. One of the aims of the organization is to safeguard consumers and users of products and services. Others include improving standards, sharing new ideas, facilitating international cooperation.

I wonder why the BKs, purveyors of business management services to corporations and executives, don't rush to adopt such high standards?

They truth is, of course, they won't and they would to work as they would just tell their followers and centers-in-charge the right things to say ... rather than do them.
ISO 9001:2000 Quality management systems

ISO 9001:2000 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization

needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, and
aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
All requirements of this International Standard are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size and product provided.
