There is a name for the experience of the stage of being a point of light. In Yoga terminology is called the seed form stage. It can be a shamanistic experience. It is not unique to Yoga meditation or RJY. You should conduct a literature search on near-death experiences. There are similarities of the pin-point of light stage and near-death experiences.
