Well, I guess the positive thing about this is that it did not happen!!!
David Bowie, one of the most influential rock stars from the UK, wrote a song called '5 years' in 1971 (released 1972). It was about the End of the World, which the PBKs will love to hear was to be in 5 years ... or 1976. He based it on a dream in which his Father told him not to fly and that he was going to die in 5 years.
He did not. You cannot always believe what your own, or other people's, dreams or visions tell you ...
For those Bowie aficionados amongst you, out on the internet, there is a rare version of Bowie as "The Thin White Duke", a few years later,
here.
I was once reminded by a demi-BK that all these things that Westerner find so important or influential during their growing up and in their modern culture ... have no importance, or even existence, to Indians at all. I once had the pleasure of playing
Starman at a Brahma Kumari bhatti. Hardly more distracting than some of the clunkier Bollywood tunes but it did not go down too well.
