Hi, everybody.
I happened to watch a long report on france 24, about a sect in Russia, whose leader convinced followers that he is an incarnation of Jesus.
The rest, apart from the different , interesting landscapes, forests and unusual architecture, is all typical: a sect.
People , many of them wealthy and educated, looking for something helpful and extra ordinary in their lives and falling prey of an authoritarian guru, who smiles permanently as if he was in ecstasy, brainwashes them and their young children, takes advantage of them ( donations, free labor). They built a huge complex , like a separate village not far from an original rural village. Some problem with the local community.
One good ting: adepts are vegetarian. They also wear mostly whites. They look like zombies fallen under a spell.
It is a bit eerie, when you look at a cult from the outside, a cult that is not the one you have been involved with, yet so similar! Check out the link I provide if you haven't come across it yet!
Love and blessings to all!
I have a lot of stuff on my plate right now, and will spend, hopefully, some time on this forum again soon.
In the meantime, take care, all of you and welcome to the new ones
