The BKWSU's PowerandProtection.org

Post27 Aug 2009

There is some more initiative.

The Experiencing Inner Power and Protection BLOG and RESOURCE CENTRE are ready.

The BLOG: http://www.powerandprotection.org

What is a blog?

In essence, a BLOG is an interactive site that offers a chance for everyone to have a voice and inspire others by doing so. Unlike websites, its main content is open for contributions and comments by everyone. Our BLOG allows people to share their stories and comment on stories already published.

Sharing stories of Inner power and protection

Who can contribute a story?

Anyone who has a personal story of inner power and protection! We all have many people in our connection who have a story to tell. So we invite you to take the time to connect with them and ask them if they wish to share one of those stories with the world. They can go directly to the BLOG to write their story or if it is more convenient for them, you could also ask them to share the story with you and in turn you could input it on the BLOG.

How long should the story be?

Please keep it short and essencefull!! (Around 250 words.) We have a small team of moderators for the BLOG who could help with editing the stories if needed. Just post it on the blog and it will reach us.

For any audio or video files, please keep them to 2 or 3 minutes. You can email us the file at powerandprotection@BKWSU.org if it is not more than 2 MB. Otherwise, you may consider using a free service such as YouSendIt through which you can send large size emails: http://www.yousendit.com/.

Events around the world

We would like to publish all the Experiencing Inner Power and Protection events (large and small) happening around the world on the Blog for the public to access. In this way it will grow into a powerful global initiative with momentum and energy. For your event to be included, please send the details to powerandprotection@BKWSU.org. Please state the date, time, venue, and any other interesting details that you would like the public to know.

Collecting experiences

In September, after each event giving people the experience of inner power and protection, it will be a great opportunity to collect testimonials and share them with the world through the BLOG.

Here are a few suggestions on how to collect experiences at your events:

For a better result, announce this during the event so that people are aware. It is important that they realise why we are collecting experiences and what we will do with them.

xxxx – have a few BKs meeting people as they come out of the event asking them to share their experience (2 or 3 minutes).
This can be done using a camera, an audio recording or written.

Experiences book – specially if you have a ‘reception’ where you serve refreshments after the programme, you can have an experiences book available for people to write a few lines about what they took from the evening.
Blessing card / Flyers of future events – provide the link to the BLOG at the back of the blessing card with an invitation to visit it and share their experiences.
Invitation Card – A small card can be placed on each seat before the event inviting people to go to the BLOG to read / share their story / experiences.

Legalities

Anyone sharing their story directly on the BLOG (written, video, audio) is assumed to do it with full consent – knowing that it is going into the public domain. The blog spot displays information to that effect.

If the story is collected and submitted to the BLOG (written, video, audio) on someone’s behalf then you will need to get signed consent from the story teller for it to go on the BLOG.

Help advertise the Blog

We are counting on the family to advertise the blog and help make it alive and rich!

The RESOURCE CENTRE: http://portal.powerandprotection.org:8080/share

Each National Coordinator will receive an invitation to join the resource centre from xxxxx including a username and password (the same password for all centres in their country). The National Coordinator will send this information to all centres in their country.

This resource centre is for all of us to share material and documents between centres at a local, national, regional and international level. We suggest that you explore the site – it is quite straightforward.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact us at powerportal-support@BKWSU.org

I believe we have some stories to share, wonder if they publish it though. Who will give it a try?

It looks like this service campaign did not take off ... the website has sunk without trace.

Sir Gulam Noon, sion of the "Royal Sweet" family business in Rajasthan, made an estimated fortune of £65 million selling frozen Indian food containing meat products as many as 1,500,000 packaged meat meals per week ... beef rogan Josh, chicken korma, salmon, shrimp and so on. It exports them worldwide. His factory gets through 80 tonnes of chicken a week alone.

I wonder how much the Brahma Kumaris got off him for putting him on their stage?

Wouldn't it be a little contradictory if a cult who bans their members from eating vegetarian food cooked by their own mothers because of the "impure" vibrations in it would then accept donations from multi-millions made from cooking meat!?! He has his own charity called the Noon Foundation.

It is Noon who is held responsible for turning 'Chicken Tikka Masala' into one of Britian most popular dishes.

In 2006, Noon became embroiled in a "Cash for Peerages" scandal which led to the arrest of arrest of Prime Minister's chief fund-raiser, when it emerged that he had loaned £250,000 to the Labour Party of the United Kingdom and then was given an MBE and knighted. It was widely implied that Sir Gulam had been given a knighthood, and promised a further peerage, in return for lending money to and hosting fundraisers for the Labour Party.

A Kali Yuga peerages? Bah ... that's nothing. The Brahma Kumari can offer you a high status in the future Golden Age, a golden palace complete with servants if you bribe donate to them!!!

Sir Gulam Noon, prominent British businessman with Sister Jayanti, Director of the Brahma Kumaris in Europe, chaired by Emily Buchanan, world affairs correspondent and presenter for the BBC.

Emily asked Sister Jayanti to explain the purpose behind the Brahma Kumaris Inner Power and Protection project.

Sister Jayanti said: "People have lost the inner sense of security and comfort and faith in knowing there is a protection coming from above. So our contribution is to make people aware that there is an inner resource and strength that they can draw upon in life."

Turning to Sir Gulam Noon Emily asked him to share his experiences of being one of the hotel guests caught up in the terrorist attacks in Mumbai last year [2008]. He said that there were three separate occasions when he could have been shot, but in his heart, he knew he would survive: "I just kept the thought that I must do my level best to survive. When you are a spiritual person there is clarity."
