BKWSU in Middle East

The BKWSU has always had to walk a very fine an disguised line in the Middle East because of "God's" rather poor opinion of Muslims. Who cannot forget his repetitive ranting about Mahmud of Ghazni who he had never forgiven for looting Somnath temple? I suspect they have edited that out of the Murlis too ...

Meanwhile, back in Brahma Kumari Land ... God fixes Janki Kirpalani's health (again) and pack his old mule off to the Middle East to woo the rich and powerful, like Deputy Prime Minister His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, surrounded by his favorite blondes and business guru Ken. Does young achiever Dr. Ebrahim Al Dossary know who he is fronting or is he just a microphone soul?

Ha. We don't have "centers-in-charge" any more ... we have "Executive Director of the BMC" Ms. Ansuya Sunku. Strangely, not a mention of the Brahma Kumaris or God Shiva anywhere in their PR. Funny how originally from a Sindi business sect, the BKs have gone back to their business roots to find acceptability.

Elsewhere, miracles of miracles, the BK start to become honest and it is reported, "The form of meditation taught is known as Raja Yoga, not to be confused with the classical Raja Yoga, an extension of ancient Yoga practise." So, if the Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga is not "Classical Raja Yoga", how can be "Ancient Raja Yoga" and what is the difference?

Strikingly, for a meditation centre, all the images are vehemently non-religious, the image of the sun being something of a theme. Dr Awatif Sharaf, family practitioner by day and meditation teacher by night, explains: ‘Spirituality can be a way of utilising the inner resources that we have. Spirituality is an umbrella that is not specific to religion.’ Which makes Bahrain Meditation Centre perhaps one of the few places in Bahrain where Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus and Christians unite in their spiritual quest.

Dadi Jankiji specially telephoned and asked that news from Bahrain be circulated all around, because Baba's wonders are being seen and experienced vividly. It is significant that Baba and drama made Dadi well enough to travel for this very important International Conference from 11th-14th January ' entitled Awakening Your Inner Power and Potential', organised by Bahrain BK family, and neighbouring countries.

Baba's instruments Jayantiben, Br Charlie, Br Ken, Sister Diane (USA), Dr Sarah (UK) are here and about 60 BKs are expected from 17 countries to serve guests from different parts of the Middle East.

Dadi says, it's an energised atmosphere and we wait for beautiful scenes to unfold. Baba is preparing these quality souls in an incognito way to do great service. It feels like Baba has specially inspired these guests to attend the Conference. As Baba's blessing taught us today, while on service, we just have to pay attention to ending old sanskars and souls will experience the greatness of Baba's task.

Last night, the Board President of the Bahrain Brahma Kumaris Centre, Mr Ibrahim Dossary, met with Dadi for about fifty mins. He works in the Prime Minister's Court and has a very humble heart. This conference was his initiative, and its with his help that we have come so far in service at Bahrain.

Jayantiben arrived this morning and went straight into a TV interview for Bahrain TV. It was in Arabic and Sister Awatif translated. Later, there was a presentation at the Ministry of Health by Dr Sarah Eagger on Values in Healthcare.

11th night is the opening ceremony of the Conference and will be very powerful! The Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain and about 8 other Ministers and 70 VIPs will be present.

About 500 delegates have registered for the Conference. It will be a three-day conference from 9am till 4:30pm. In the evening, there will be two speakers giving one-hour talks, which will be open to all.
