I believe that the most dangerous and destructive aspect of the Brahma Kumaris cult is "detachment"... which applies to: emotions, relations (physical and others), thoughts ... etc.
I have seen BK mothers who have undergone personality changes, got alienated and subsequently became emotionally detached from their children, husbands and family members and friends. BK constantly emphasize detachment to their followers in their books, lectures, meetings, and even via SMS messages.
If you do not believe in the end of the world, it is not a big deal, because you will do your term in life and depart ... If you do not believe in reincarnation, it is the same because your soul will not remember your previous life any way, if you eat or do not eat meat, garlic and onion, it would not make much difference to your body and survival ... and so many other ifs, which look secondary BK aspects compared with "detachment", proved in many cases to lead to families dismantling, and other serious psychological and social problems ... !!
According to Wikipedia (under controversies and criticism for Brahma Kumaris), the BKWSU has been classified as: Enemy of The State by Goverment of Greece in 1993, and: Dangerous by the goverment of France in 1996.
