Happy January the 18th: Lekhraj Kripalani RIP

Post18 Jan 2013

Happy January the 18th. Be happy you are not in the BKWSU any more and a subject to this silliness, see below ... (thank you, Roy, for a copy of BK Robin Ramsay's poster).

Celebrate your freedom and the ability to live your own life according to your *own* needs and wisdom, and be thankful for it helping you escape.

Lekhraj Kirpalani was wrong. He was not God. The world did not end in 1976. The BKs did not give all the money back to the Indian government as he asked them, and ethically it has been downhill since then.

an unnamed BK leader wrote:"Ethical? What value does being ethical add to our business? We'd have to stop so much!
There's just no time to become ethical. The world is going to end in two to three years,
so carry on as usual! If God won't save us, Destruction will.

In the picture above, you see Lekhraj Kirpalani wearing a turban and on it is a Kalgi.

Indeed, in the early material, one of the titles which he gives himself is "Kalgidhar SREE Krishna OF Vaikunth" or BRAHMPURI.
In essence, he's calling himself "Maharaj Sir God of Heaven".
You'd have to be really humble to do that.

January the 18th is the day the BKs believe he became perfect or, if you accept the PBK version, which has some truth, the day he had a heart attack and died because of disappointment at the BK inner circle establishing a trust to take over the business just two days before, the news taking that time to get to Mount Abu. There was also some discussion about him being given the wrong medicine, or not being given medicine, which hastened his death (I cannot remember which right now) but in any case, Lekhraj Kirpalani death was not a notable as India's other great gurus or saddhus who are known to appoint the day and time of death at die at their own will in samadhi. I suspect we have not heard the real story of his.

* The http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Kalgi]Kalgi is a symbol of a ruler, worn on the front of the Sikh's turban in the form of a plume. It was reserved for Rajas and Maharajas. Many Sikhs even believe that the Kalgi should not be worn today because there are no individuals of that status.
