In India, time and time again, the Brahma Kumaris are seen endorsing clearly Right Wing political figures. Here we see them chasing VIP Right Wing political leader, Uddhav Thackeray of the Shiv Sena (शिव सेना meaning Shivaji's Army.
The Shiv Sena are seen as a chauvinistic Hindu nationalist organisation and has been seen by some as a terrorist group. It was linked directly with the 1970 communal violence in Bhiwandi, 1984 Bhiwandi riots, and violence in the 1992-1993 Bombay riots supporting Hindu nationalism
Shiv Sena is commonly called an "extremist" party, "Hindu extremist" or even a fascist party in the Indian press.
This leads me to consider that the Brahma Kumaris are a politically conservative. Indeed, not even middle of the road but considerable to the Right. They not commonly seen chasing those fighting for social justice, causes, or similar Left Wing organizations, preferring to align themselves with the rich, powerful and establishmentarian, even serving the interests of corporations and their executives, rather than the workers or people.
Has the BKWSU no conscience, values or ethics?
