BK Arrested for Extortion Cashing in on Indian Rape Hysteria

Post20 Aug 2014

From: 'Bramhakumari' arrested for extorting Rs 7 lakh from elderly man by filing false rape case.

Women divorces husband to join the BKs for 6 years and then attempts to extort 10 years average wages from another old BK male using false rape accusations. How very angelic of her ...

Now some BKs of late have been support and encouraging other BKs to divorce husband, it was the talk of the Hindi community in London a while ago but this is an unusually unprincipled case. So much for the BKs being pure and divine.
False rape accuser and lawyer accomplice get caught in own net

23 Apr 2014

According to this recent news in TOI, earlier this month, accused Rekha Rajak, 33, lodged a complaint with Mahila police station that she was raped by Ram Nivas Sharma, 69, head of Brahma Kumaris’ ashram, resident of Thatipur area in Gwalior. It is said sometimes that love does not see any boundaries of age; we can’t say if that is true but it is quite clear that accusing 69 year old man of rape by 33 year old woman is perfectly legit because false rape accusation does not see boundaries of age!

Further excerpt from the news below:
She told police that she was exploited for long and then raped by the accused during her three-month stay at the ashram. The extortion angle came up in the case when Sharma, who has been accused by the women of committing rape, lodged a counter complaint. While police initiated investigations and booked Sharma, she offered a deal of Rs 7 lakh to Sharma to withdraw the complaint.

Sharma informed the matter to police and continued negotiations with the woman. Mayank recorded the telephonic conversation and handed it over to the police. Unaware of the police complaint, the woman asked Sharma to deposit Rs 5 lakh in her bank account and hand over remaining amount to the lawyer.
Ain’t that a sweat deal. 5 lakh for the ‘rape victim’, 2 lakh for her lawyer! Who says India lacks talent? There is plenty of it, just in the wrong places But hats off to the accused man for fighting back instead of cowing down to the demands and settling by paying money. Further the news story says:
“We have arrested the woman and her accomplice for registering a false case of rape against Sharma and collecting Rs 7 lakh extortion money,” Gwalior SP Pramod Vermatold TOI.

Sum of Rs 5 lakh (with its series number given by Sharma) were recovered in the bank, Rs 2 lakh was seized from her accomplice, the SP added. Police claim she had made similar complaints against other people including her father-in-law.
“Police claim she had made similar complaints against other people including her father-in-law.“ So we have the case of a serial-false-rape-accuser. Yes, it is not a fictitious characterization, there are people like this woman who fit the term of serial (false) rape victims. They are cashing in on the rape hysteria being constantly portrayed by the media and making hay while the sun shines so to speak.
Senior police officials claim that there had been several instances, especially in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh, where women have misused the law as a “weapon for vengeance and vendetta”.
These news are nothing new, but it is heartening that the accused man decided to fight back and put the accuser and accomplice lawyer in the right place. With the evidence at hand, hopefully a few years jail term should be in order at the end of trial.

'Bramhakumari' arrested for extorting Rs 7 lakh from elderly man by filing false rape case

P Naveen, TNN | Apr 12, 2014, 12.16AM IST

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh police on Friday caught a woman and a lawyer for extorting a sum of Rs 7 lakh from an elderly man by allegedly threatening him to implicate him in a case of rape. This incident took place in Gwalior district on Friday evening.

The accused woman had joined the Bramhakumaris six years ago, after separating from her husband, said police adding that she had filed similar complaints against other people also.

They were arrested red-handed while collecting money from the man, they were threatening to implicate, said police.

Earlier this month, accused Rekha Rajak, 33, lodged a complaint with Mahila police station that she was raped by Ram Nivas Sharma, 69, head of Brahma Kumaris' ashram, resident of Thatipur area in Gwalior.

"We have arrested the woman and her accomplice for registering a false case of rape against Sharma and collecting Rs 7 lakh extortion money," Gwalior SP Pramod Vermatold TOI. Sum of Rs 5 lakh (with its series number given by Sharma) were recovered in the bank, Rs 2 lakh was seized from her accomplice, the SP added. Police claim she had made similar complaints against other people including her father-in-law.

"It seems that she has made false complaints in the past also. We are investigating it," said the SP.

Senior police officials claim that there had been several instances, especially in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh, where women have misused the law as a "weapon for vengeance and vendetta".

"Many of the cases are being reported by those women who have consensual physical relationship with a man but when the relationship breaks due to one reason or the other, the women use the law as a weapon for vengeance and personal vendetta to extort money and sometimes even to force the man to get married to her," said a senior police officer quoting a remark by Delhi high court.

While granting anticipatory bail to a man facing rape charges filed by a woman claiming to be his wife in May 2013, Delhi high court had said that judges should "cautiously examine the intentions of the girl to find out whether the rape complaint is genuine or has malafide motives".

BK Arrested for Extorting Cashing in on Indian Rape Hysteria

Post21 Aug 2014

7 lakh rupees is about $15,000 USD in a country where the average income is about $ 1,570 per year.

In short, the Brahma Kumari adherent was after about 10 years income.

What would be interesting is to find out how "surrendered" she was and if she had been living in the centre since her divorce (it says 3 months) ... also if the BKs encouraged her to divorce her husband, and how much she took off him first.

It would not be the first time we heard of BKs cooperating to help other BKs divorce husbands.

Looks like 6 years worth of BK Raja Yoga meditation did not help "purify the soul".

I am accused by the BKs is lying and exaggerating ... but here we go again, another snapshot of life within the Brahma Kumaris. All I really do is research and collate information given or sent to me. Almost all of it is documented from the public domain.

Honestly, I could not make this stuff up if I tried ... all I am sure of is that we only see the tip of the iceberg of crap going on inside the BKWSU and that we don't even see the worst of it.

I could not find a picture of an iceberg of crap, so here is this one instead ...

Looks like 6 years worth of BK Raja Yoga meditation did not help "purify the soul".

And that is what I ask BKs, how much time is required minimum to purify their soul as they are one & same even if you meet them after 60 years?

As in this case, the purity exceeded its limits, that center of BK must be overflowing with pure vibration where such Sisters or their in-charge live after leaving their husbands or wives. Who knows whether still the verdict is correct or again wrong, money works everywhere & fake evidences can be produced. When lawyers are involved in bribes, how much reliable will be the courts decision or police inquiry? It's all planned game.

One thing I have noticed that BK heads never support the victims even if that one is their own Didis running a center. Instead of taking their side, they just expel the suffering Didis. Dadis have this belief to to remain on safe side. Who cares if one or two are removed from institution where already thousands are available.

And, yes, they like to remain at the base of iceberg you mentioned.
