Scottish National Party rally for Brahma Kumaris?

Post29 Mar 2016

Early Day Motions (EDMs) in the British Parliament are formal motions submitted for debate in the House of Commons. The truth is, very few are actually debated or accepted, however, EDMs allow MPs to draw attention to an event or cause. MPs register their support by signing individual motions.

Can anyone explain to me how and why the Scottish National Party have rallied to support Dadi Janki Kirpalani? Any other example of BK self-promotion masquerading as "service"? Anyone want to chip in and buy 24 stamps so we can enlighten them about the BKs real agenda?

The motion was supported by Jim Shannon, a Democratic Unionist MP who for two years in a row has claimed the most expenses in the House of Commons is currently being investigated by a parliamentary watchdog.
Jim Shannon, the MP for Strangford in Northern Ireland, was paid a total of £205,798 in taxpayer-funded expenses last year, excluding travel.

I imagine Janki would approve ... but encourage him to have his travelled paid too.

In a recent British bookshop's mind, body and spirit magazine, Janki was also listed as the 55th most spiritual person, between Guru Maharaj Ji Prem Rawat and one Brian Weiss. I'd never heard of him (he's a past life regression specialist) but having watched Fando y Lis and other movies ... I'd have to question any list that places Alejandro Jodorowsky as the number 9 most spiritual person in the world, never mind Pope Francis as number 2 (who he?).

Message to BKs ... I really would take this kind of stuff too seriously. Janki's obviously not going to make the top 8.
Dadi JANKI

None of the signatories would have taken the time to investigate who they were signing for.

It's simply a polite Happy Birthday callout to a centenarian who has what seems a list of nice achievements.

Some BK or BKs must have been working the networks behind the scenes.

Self-advertising and exaggeration used to re-affirm to the adherents that they are doing anything worthwhile with their time as usual.

BK Madhuban are boasting about it.

In real political terms it means zero but its evidence of the BKs continued, self-serving political lobbying. Early Day Motions are simple fillers in case the House has any free time to discuss or debate anything. They are used for reasons such as publicising the views of individual MPs, drawing attention to specific events or campaigns and often for trivial or humorous topics.

And by the sounds of it, Shannon is very much like the BKs, looking to boost one’s own image 'by association’.

It probably assuages Jim Shannon’s conscience, boosts his own sense of public service, by namedropping the name of those who can name drop names of others known by whom they associate with - who actually do public service!

I do recall 30 plus years ago when Mother Theresa won the Nobel Peace Prize, a reactionary maneuver by the BK publicity apparatus, especially in the West to posture Janki Dadi and BKSU for attention by the Nobel Prize selection committee. Mr. Shannon may well be part of the machinery for the BK to reach Stockholm. The BKs have been after the Nobel gold and glory for decades.
