In Russia, it appears that the Brahma Kumaris have re-marketed themselves as the "Center for Spiritual Development". Two BK adherents, Elena Titova (Moscow, BKWSU) and Maya Babina, recently entered the Miss Vegetarian 2017 competition, one winning the "People's Choice".

This underlines two service strategies the BK god spirit has preferred since the start of service in the West ...
    a) A willingness to say or do the most stupid sh*t in service of promoting the cult if it means meeting someone famous and having your photo taken ... even if it apparently contradicts all the values of the cult (is not physical beauty "body conscious" guys?), and

    b) What the world needs to be spiritual ... is MORE BLONDES!
The BK website rather sexistly refers to the women as "girls". More photos, but no swimsuits, here.

Meanwhile, on the subject of the BKs and the environment and their difficult relationship with vegan elements within the West, our "Godly" representatives contradict themselves once again by putting their name forward for a United Nations initiative promoting a plant based vegan diet and their global institutional instruction on how to celebrate their most holy day ... was by having "a light breakfast of milk and fruits" (ref: Special notice for 18th January 2018).

Despite initiatives among Western BKs to get the cult to "walk its talk", and despite conclusive evidence that avoiding meat and dairy is ‘single biggest way’ to reduce your impact on Earth, the BK inner circle is rock hard, closed mindly hanging on to the diary industry's udders ... under the rationale that because Lekhraj Kirpalani did it, it is the right thing to do (AKA "Follow Brahma").
The contest "Miss Vegetarian 2017" was organized in the ancient Russian city of Ryazan on November 4, 2017 to draw public attention to the development of vegetarianism in Russia. The event was dedicated to the World Vegetarian Day (1st October) and the International Vegan Day (1st November). This project was a unique event both for Ryazan and for the whole of Russia. The coordinator of the project is Elena Vlaskina who is administrator of the group "The Ryazan Vegan".

Call me "soul conscious" but I prefer the humble inner virtues of the nerdy looking brunette wearing glasses on the left.

The new research shows that without meat and dairy consumption, global farmland use could be reduced by more than 75% – an area equivalent to the US, China, European Union and Australia combined – and still feed the world. Loss of wild areas to agriculture is the leading cause of the current mass extinction of wildlife.

The new analysis shows that while meat and dairy provide just 18% of calories and 37% of protein, it uses the vast majority – 83% – of farmland and produces 60% of agriculture’s greenhouse gas emissions. Other recent research shows 86% of all land mammals are now livestock or humans. The scientists also found that even the very lowest impact meat and dairy products still cause much more environmental harm than the least sustainable vegetable and cereal growing.

Bovine milk consumed by other animals not by the pre-weaned calves is toxic. Now it is contaminated with bovine growth hormone, and has been contaminated with pus, dead while blood cells and other inflammatory debris. To this day, there is evidence demonstrating radioactive isotopes such as cesium in the milk from cows in many parts of Europe exposed to the nuclear fallout from Chernobyl.

I do know some young ladies from Eastern Europe who would knock the stockings off of the 2017 winners of the Miss Vegetarian Competition, in beauty and cerebral abilities.

I would not want to be ungallant towards any young woman, but don't "Miss" anything pagent competitions sit uncomfortably with the Western BKs' "feminist" claim?

Of course, life is not so easy and kind for physically unattractive non-Western BKs.

Spend 25 years of your life working for nothing for the Brahma Kumaris, having no holidays, no days off, little privacy and next to no freedom ... which most Western democracies would describe as "slavery" ... and all you will get are some *really* big baubles to wear, and an even more tacky plastic gilt clock. There's no retirement, not even get a gold watch at the end of it. Just a big plastic clock.

Just what practical value such big baubles have, I have no idea ... but the BKs sure are evidence that "perfection" and "enlightenment" do not guarantee intelligence or good taste.

This folks is what you missed out for not surrendering your life to the BKWSU.

Clearly they have far too much money if they can waste it on such crap. As we say in English ...
More money than sense.
Hold on ... someone made a mistake. What I said I really wanted was a big plastic cock.
