In a much belated news report, the Indian Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) learned that the PBK leader Virender Dev Dixit, who was wanted in cases of alleged mistreatment of disciples at his Rohini ashram, died in 2023. The agency has already informed a special court and will now seek abatement of previous trials.
What does this mean for the PBKs? How does it fit in with the predictions?
I have no idea what is happening among them now. Their website appears to mention nothing about it.
In the past, the BKs, ex-PBK followers who had started up their own cult called the Vishnu Party, and others all conspired at various times to bring Virendra Dev Dixit down with generally fairly spurious cases while still, to some degree, borrowing from his ideas about BKism.
Self-styled preacher Virender Deo Dixit wanted in rape cases has died, CBI tells court.
Dixit, against whom an Interpol Blue Notice was issued in 2018, was allegedly on the run after the CBI registered cases against him on the orders of the Delhi High Court in 2017.
The CBI had been on his trail, with the search going up to Nepal. The agency had also announced a reward of ₹5 lakh for anyone giving credible information about him.
The Hyderabad unit of the agency got the information about the death of Dixit in January 2025, which was confirmed recently, officials said on Monday (September 29, 2025), adding the court has been informed.
He was in his early eighties at the time of his demise.
