Does anyone know if Jivatram Bhagwandas Kripalani (1888-1982) was related to Lekhraj Kirpalani, Janki or the rest of the KKK?
He was an Indian politician, president of the Indian National Congress during the transfer of power in 1947, a Gandhian Socialist, environmentalist, mystic and freedom fighter.
Close to Gandhi, he was one of the latter's most ardent disciples and a familiar figure to generations of Indian dissenters, of which there is still a strong tradition to this day, from the Non-Cooperation Movements of the 1920s through till the Emergency of the 1970s.
