Brahma Kumaris Info - the Truth about BK Meditation

In the old days, it might have been edited out of the Murlis, Lekhraj Kirpalani used to say that the Brahma Kumari movement was a religio-political movement, a religious and political movement.

With less than 30 years until they establish their 2,500 year long reich, the question here is simple ... what kind of politics does the BKWSU practice?

Please feel free to suggest any alternative questions. I have avoided "democractic" because there is none and libertarian, because it certainly ain't! I will start a thread elsewhere to discuss.

I don't know where BKWSU fits as per your classification, but ShivBaba (through Baba Virendra Dev Dixit) has compared the BKs to the now ruling Congress Party and the PBKs to the opposition Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) of Indian politics. If I am not wrong, Congress is considered to be a socialist/secular party, considered by BJP to be a party that appeases the minority Muslim community at the cost of Hindu majority, and BJP is considered to be a right wing/radical party considered to be non-secular by other political parties, but there were ministers from the minority Muslim community also, when BJP led National Democratic Alliance was in power a few years ago. The BJP considers itself to be secular.

Does the question imply ALL the Brahmin family? current "BKs"? the BK leadership?

The vast majority of "BKs" may be socialist yet the upper levels of the "pyramid" may be right wing with the odd one quietened or frightened to speak socialist.

I will have to leave it blank, which is sometimes the look on my face upon hearing some of the things that go on.

Oligarchy is probably the word I was looking for.

But what are the general politics of all the Indians that come to the BKWSU? I stress again that I have seen a lot more sucking up to the bosses and corporations than, say, trade unionists and fair trade organizations.
