Brahma Kumaris join Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Post22 Feb 2010

The Brahma Kumaris have joined the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, although perhaps "use the platform parasitically for their own advancement and to gain new adherents might be a better interpretation of the move".

Despite appears to the contrary, the Brahma Kumaris are not Hindus. They and their god consider Hinduism to be degraded, impure and of no real benefit ... certainly not a path to liberation or enlightenment. It is, they teach, only a degraded memorial of them and their religion.

See: here here, here, here and elsewhere.

One of the HJS's call is that given attacks on Hindu Dharma are allegedly on the rise and the Government, Police and Defence forces are helpless, the need to protect oneself training in self-defence is essential. Notably, the Brahma Kumaris already have a "security wing" known to ladle out beatings and seek close relationships to military and police forces. In the past they have been accused of charming and bribing their way out of conflicts by offering officers blessed foods etc.
In October 2002, during a meet of activists of the 'Parivartanvadi Vichaar Manch', Hindu deities were blasphemously criticized. One Hindu strongly objected to their deplorable act. These activists beat up the Hindu. With a view to protest against this attack, all Hindu organizations came together and the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) was established on the 13th October 2002 by initiative of seekers of Sanatan Sanstha. It was decided that any Hindu, irrespective of the organization, sect etc. he/she belongs to can become member of HJS. Thus HJS stands as a common platform for all Hindus to unite breaking all the barriers.

Objectives

To create awareness about Hindu issues
    To Educate about Hindu Dharma
    To unite Hindus globally
To achieve broader social interests instead of their narrow-minded power centric Hinduism
To stop denigration of Hindu Dharma (Righteousness)
    To protect the Nation
