Naming of old fossil - nearly the 13th Shiva Jyotirlingam

Post18 Sep 2007

I found this article quite funny. Shows how much "BK" has been ingrained in me .

It is about an Indian professor who gets a 565million year old fossil he found named after him. His name is Professor Shiva Balak Misra.

Now the snag is that the fossil is eventually named ... no, not "Shiva", but an ordinary "Fractofusus Misrai". Now that was a close call. Or an act of God ?

Err ... has that photo been seen before ?
