How old is Dadi Janki today (and is she Manohar Shanta)?

Post04 Nov 2008

From "Adi Dev - The First Man", on page 181.
Jagdish Chander wrote:At last, in 1950, the children prepared to leave Karachi.

On the attached photograph from the book An Alokik Life Story of Dada Chandrahas, p.41. Dadi Janki is at the right top sitting on the baggages.

Any ideas how old she was at the day they were leaving Pakistan in 1950?
If you ask me, she seems to be 10-12 years old on this photo. Considering that she is a dwarf, let's say maximum 13.

So, how old is she now? According to this calculation she must be today 71 years !? Is this possible?

We need an expert to examine this photo and later photos of Dadi Janki.

How fascinating!

According to the Brahma-Kumaris, Dadi joined the Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya in 1937, at the age of 21.

Accordingly, in this picture she would have been around 34, already married and a previously a mother.
The Dada Chandrahas book also mentions that Janki Kripalani's mother and Father were part of Om Mandli prior to Saddhu Vaswani's involvement which would pre-date it to those events in "Is This Justice?". He writes of "Murlis" in the 30s where Shiva Baba made revelations ... but there was not mention of Shiva back then. Not until after 1950 plus.

Of course, the BKWSU also wrote that;

    • Janki Kripalani was one of the founding committee ... which she wasn't.
    • She was proclaimed the most stable mind on the earth by Texsas [sister in charge] University ... which no scientist said and they had to withdraw (yet the bozos in India still use).
    • In her 1999 book, Pearls of Wisdom, she writes that that the "university" whose purpose is to help people explore their highest level of personal integrity" was "initiated in 1936" ... which it wasn't.
    • That Janki Kripalani joined the BKWSU in 1936 or 1937 ... and yet her name in not on the official legal list of members in 1937.
Elsewhere that her sugar daddy 'Brahma Baba' experienced a series of visions in 1936, at the age of 60 ... which he was not in 1936 (and probably did not as they tell it).

And that those visions revealed to him the "mysterious entity of God" ... when, in fact, we discover that for the first 20 years of their existence, he and the Brahma Kumaris thought he, Lekhraj Kirpalani (aka Brahma Baba), was god.
By the same accounting, Prakashmani who is in the picture, would have been aged 30. She, Rama Gopal Hathiramani, does appear on the list of names aged 18. The publicity for her other book Wings of Soul states, Janki Kripalani "campaigns for truth" ...

So can we have it now then?
The sad truth is that even in the impure, Kali Yuga world, if any politician or dean of a university was found to have done quite to much falsification ... they would be chucked out immediately. The BKs appear to be making an industry of it.

Apparently ... "much of her youth was spent in serving the sick by comforting them with religious stories and humble prayers."

Its amazing how weak she sounds mentally and spiritually. For me, knowing what I know now, she had Lekhraj Kirpalani as her God and probably still does now.

Its just a ramble ... stream of consciousness stuff ... and this supposedly from "one of the 8 top souls in the world"? She is full of it, so are her circle of courtiers being seen to follow her Shrimat but doing their own will. If she is the final authority within the BKWSU ... what hope have we got?

Elsewhere, I see the BKs have downgraded her to "one of the most stable minds in the world" ... I suppose that is a bit like Carlsberg lager claiming in their advertising to be "Probably the Best Lager in World". Means nothing, impossible to argue with, has a marketing effect worth milking for the curious.

The quotes below say Janki had four Sisters and that her family joined the Om Mandli. They also say, she joined in 1939 when she would have been 23. Looking at the list of families at the Om Mandli, there is no other family by the name of Kripalani with 4 daughters and only one "Janki Kripalani" aged 13.

From the book written in Janki's name, Companion of God;
Dadi remembers her experience of deep love for God from the age of 2 years. Her search for Truth began at the age of 11, and continued until she saw Brahma Baba after his own dramatic transforation. As a girl, she had known Lekhraj Kirpalani Brahma Baba since he studied and discussed the esoteric secrets of the scriptures with her uncles and relatives. At the age of 19, walking in a park, she met Baba again.

From Purity and Peace by Liz Hodgkinson
This was in 1937 when I was aged 20. Afterwards, I had to go to live at my new husband's house, as was the custom ... for the next 14 months he never stirred out of the house for fear that I would leave and go to Baba ... nor was I allowed to read Baba's discourses, or Murlis. I had a child, a son ... this boy only lived for four months. Instead, she would get out the Bhagavad Gita and while pretending to read it, start to meditate and remember Baba.

When Dadi's Father saw how unhappy his daughter was in her marriage, he himself surrendered to Brahma Baba in Hyderabad and went with his family, consisting of four other daughters, to live with the Om Mandali.

Dadi joined the Om Mandli permanently in 1939, in Karachi.

How does that time line break down?

Marriage in 1937 ... 14 months living with husband ... 9 months pregnancy ... 4 months until death of child ... How long does it take for a mother to get over the death of her child before she can run away from home? Surely a few weeks!?!

BKWSU wrote:Janki was one of the original 16 women Lekhraj assembled in 1937 to found the organization and forge its rapidly expanding vision of the future.

So much for being "accurate" ...

I never heard this story of Janki's Father joining the Om Mandali.

I remember her relating how she escaped from home and took a train to Karachi and from there sent a letter to her family saying: "I am dead"!

If you ask me, she seems to be 10-12 years old on this photo. Considering that she is a dwarf, let's say maximum 13.

Here is a Murli quote that mentions about Dadi Janaki having joined the Yagya after her marriage and after having children:

313.
“Aksar karke gareeb hee poora potamail detey hain. Saahookaar dey na sakein. Surrender ho nahee saktey. Koi virlaa nikaltaa hai. Jaisey ki Janak ka naam hai. Baal bachchey hain, joint property hai toh alag kaisey hon. Saahookaar log property nikaalein kaisey jo surrender hon. Baap hai hee gareebniwaaz. Sabsey gareeb maataaen hain, unsay bhi jaasti kanyaaen gareeb hain. Kanya ko kabhi varsey ka nashaa nahee hoga. Bachchey ko Baap kee jaageer ka nashaa rahtaa hai. Toh vah sab chod fir Vaikunth ka varsa lena padey." (Brahmakumariyon dwara prakaashit revised Sakar Murli, dinaank 14.04.08, pg 3)

“Generally, it is the poor ones, who give the complete potamail (life story). The rich ones cannot give. They cannot surrender. Very rarely someone emerges (who is rich). For example, Janak is famous. She has children, there is a joint property; so how can she separate? How can the prosperous ones take out their (share of the) property so that they could surrender? The Father is a friend of the poor ones (garibniwaaz). The poorest ones are the mothers; poorer than them are the virgins. A virgin will never be proud of the inheritance. Sons are proud of the Father’s property. So, one has to leave all that and obtain the inheritance of heaven.” (Revised Sakar Murli dated 14.04.08, pg 3 published by BKs in Hindi, narrated by ShivBaba through Brahma Baba; translated by a PBK; the words within brackets in the English version have been added by the translator to clarify the meaning)

So, as per the above Murli point, Dadi Janaki as shown in the picture cannot be 12 or 13 year old.

Re: How old is Dadi Janki today?

Its difficult to know and not worth much to speculate. Someone has to have seen her passport but even that could have been faked ... I am not so much concerned about her age. There is enough stuff is indisputable and evidences their mode of operation. What strikes me more is how much of her class is about how 'wonderful' she is, how 'spotless' her record is ... how she has never lied, never asked for anything, never gone against Shrimat.

Well, on a big scale, take the all pictures of her sugar dady savour Lekhraj Kirpalani, that was against Shrimat of the Murlis. Regarding all the talk of her private bank account, we never worked that one out. How could someone that has never been paid have any bank account? Has she kept her family wealth whilst encouraging everyone to hand over their money and property to the BKWSU?

Regarding the Murli quote ... what does it say? "Children" ... we thought she only had one. What does that mean? She had more than one physical child or is it talking about something metaphorical? Joint property? All the usual opaque, inconclusive stuff ... Arjun, what do you know? Did she have more than one child? Is it talking about someone else? Is the property real, metaphorical ... or is it all just a waste of thought? I think we need more conclusive "proof". What we did hear once was that she still met with her lokik family (families) in secret. Do we know more about that?

I wonder who own St Gabriel's Road in London? That must be worth over a million pounds now.

Its interesting ... I remember one small class we had with her when there were only a handful of us around and Jayanti was away. Someone Sister or her mother was translating. I tried to ask her "HOW" the god of the BK makes its followers "powerful". She did want not answer. So I made the analogy of physical syringe and how when you pump something out of a syringe into a body there is a transeference. She flipped on me asking me who had given me that idea, ridiculing and putting me down in front of the class. It was obvious that she did not understand what was being said to her. Like so many of us in similar circumstances, I let the matter drop. The Sister translator was nervous and embarrassed.

Funnily enough, just the other day reading some of her class in the download section ... I discovered her using the exact same metaphor of "Baba giving us an injection" to make us more powerful. Frankly, she is full of her own **** and if individuals are sucking up to as if she is a god incarnated ... well, "that is their karma" as they say.

Folks, you have to free yourself. The BKs know where I live to sue me if I am wrong when I saw this ... Janki Kripalani has lied black to her followers for decades whilst exploiting their supersitition, blind faith and personal weaknesses for financial gain for her "business", the BKWSU. As have the leadership of the BKWSU collectively. On the path to Sat Yug ... ha ha ha.

I think it is not in a metaphorical sense but in a real, physical sense.

I heard Dadi Janki using this metaphor - which she learned from you - countless times in her classes and private talks and read in her classes years long.

All examples she is giving are about her own virtues and, of course, about Brahma Baba's virtues.

I heard her countless times saying on the stage, "Dadi never touched money in her life"!! :-? Of course, there are always Didis and Sisters around her who collect the donated purses and envelopes.

Well, in all humility, its been floating around for a lot longer than I have. I just thought it was an interesting illustration of how two faced and inconsistent they can be. At the time I was young and I was surprised at the force of her attack.

Of course, she did not have an answer and does not like being taken outside of her comfort zone.

I checked the values of the Brahma Kumari property in St Gabriel's Road, Willesden Green and it would seem to be over £1,500,000. That is $2,370,000 or 112,180,900 Rupees.

Hi, ex-l, sorry to hear that when you were "little" you had been ridiculed by super yogi HM DJ, she's a specialist in doing that. Luckily, cubs one day turn into lions.

Perhaps the translator that was temping whilst Jayanti was away, wasn't very skilled. BTW, wasn't DJ a nurse? So what's the difficulty in understanding what an injection or a transfusion is and consequently your metaphor? This old lady likes playing daft!

In more recent years, the concept of BapDada transfusing power, sakash, to the children became common. Means: you were too far ahead of fashion. It happens to artists, musicians, scientists, designers and other talented creative people!

Consider your self lucky, many have been jailed and roasted alive for having been ahead of their times!

Ha. I am sure they would if they could and probably are trying on a psychic level ... and if there is any truth to their fantasy, they can look forward to the joy of me being on their case for another 2,500 years.

A reliable source states that fatty Mohini in Mount Abu claims Janki Kripalani's real name is 'Manohar Shanta' which still, funnily enough, does not exist on the 1938 list of Om Mandli members' names. Any more information folks?

    The plot thickens ...
Just in case you think Janki is an all singing and all dancing miracle for all of humanity to see ... and it is all "just because of Raja Yoga" ... check out 90 year olds Uncle Howard and the leg splitting, hip hop dancing grandmother.

I kind of like this mere 84 year old acrobat too. Looking around the web, its amazing what old folks are doing now ... BKs out get out more often and see reality.
