Robin Gibb embraces BK values

Post16 Feb 2009

I read in The Sunday Times that Robin Gibb's eight year affair with his housekeeper has led to him becoming a Father again at the age of 59. Dwina Gibb is "none too happy". The article then goes on to refer to her as "a bisexual former druid priestess who now belongs to a Hindu sect that values celibacy."

I have to admit that I chuckled that after 80 years of service this was the best mention God's own organisation could manage in the broadsheets.

FULL STORY Exclusive: Bee Gee Robin Gibb, 59, has baby with live-in housekeeper, 33 or if you want to see where ex-l got his writing style from Robin Gibb profile: More than one woman.

I have to agree with Robin Gibb - "New life is heaven-sent and is a blessing. That's what I can say about children and life". He has been in a relationship with the mother for 8 years, with full knowledge of his wife. Others would call a baby, "a scorpion and a lizard". I wonder if he'll be invited back? (That's a stupid question. Of course he will - he is rich and famous).

Recently decribed by The Telegraph as, "the co-creator of the most gloriously shallow pop ever", Robin Gibb is worth an estimated £140 million and owns a 100 acre Oxfordshire country manion that outscales even the BKWSU's. So, yes, I wonder at what point the scales of the Brahma-kumaris, "The Family Path" as they like to call themselves, will tipple in favour of "forgiveness".

The funnily thing is, Dwina (a former lover of a pornographic film director), is far the more enthusiastic follower, fronting up for the Brahma Kumari event; "The Celt and the Yogi" in 2007. I see she also got into an artistic co-promotion with BK popstars Bliss writing a poem that was used for one of their songs ... and I dare say opening doors professionally for Bliss.

According to the gutter press, Dwina was happy for Robin to "sow his oats" because it allowed her to stay committed to the Brahma Kumaris but she never expected him to actually "plant his seed".
When the truth came out, Dwina was furious. To say she hit the roof is an understatement.

That does not sound very Om Shanti to me ... more Yoga Dwina ... remember Baba abd be stable in Drama.

As for your usual goading and belittlement Terry, The Scotsman newspaper in a well respect broadsheet as any educated peron would know. No, I did not use it as a reference. Established in 1817 as a response to the subservience of other newspapers to the Edinburgh establishment the paper, it is known for its "impartiality, firmness and independence". So, despite your best efforts, I take that as a further compliment.

How can the Brahma-kumaris accept his money though and what "values" does this advertise? is not the money and his involvement tainted by all these impure vibrations? Elsewhere on the forum, we had ex-weather girl and JAM supporter Tania Bryer sticking her tongue into her new lover.

What this means is that Robin would have been ******** the housekeeper around the same time as headlining the £289,000 Just-a-Minute gig with the "Three Stooges" ... I mean "The Three Dadis". See video below. Dwina says the Gibbs opened their big house in the country to do a BK VIP event with astronauts. Robin states that he is ... "erm, not involved but c ... c... c ... connected". Claiming that, "What they do is actually something that a lot of artists do ... they do it inadvertently even though they don't know it" and fluffing out the old punchline, "Its not a religion ...".

To be honest, no, not all artists do think that they can to God in person and those that do are generally on drugs end up dying young like Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison etc ...

We book Wembley Arena and we don't know what we are doing but ... Its very spirituality.

It wasn't goading or belittlement. The style of writing in this article reminded me of some of your pieces. Twas a comment of the style of writing, not a value judgement. If you value its style, then by all means take the compliment.

A small 'tragedy' ... Robin Gibb, disco pioneer, just died 20 May 2012 aged 62. One less VIP for the BKWSU but Dadi Janki was always 'more than a woman' for him. I wonder 'how deep is the BKs love' and will they be at the funeral?

This was from when he was very much 'staying alive' ...

I feel that post to be in very poor taste ex-l. A man has died, you may not agree with his choices or the way he lived his life, but he died of a terrible, painful disease. The puns and jokey nature of this are crass. I thought this was a forum promoting peace, love and healing?

With all respect, that was not 'jive talking'. It meant as a homage. The BeeGees disco period was by far their greatest and Saturday Night Fever an absolute classics. It opened up new worlds for people.

From a BK point of view, if one's own mother dies their god spirit says it is "time to eat havla" (dessert, as in be happy and party). Surely then, from a BG point of view, 'you should be dancing' ... as in celebrating.

Gibb has not died, they will be saying, he has paid off his karma and been released speculating if he will be born as a BK or in the Advance Party who are allegedly going to build 'Heaven on Earth' in this next life because of the money and service he gave to the BKWSU. If he has gone, he has gone and is not suffering. If there is reincarnation, he is off floating about in a spirit world right now ecstatic. Probably unaware his was Robin Gibb.

I am more worried about the Brahma Kumaris trying to exploit the death with faux sincerity ... especially now that BK follower wife Dwina is 'alone', likely to inherit a fortune and has a big house in the country.

Remember where you read it first. The BKs have been there and done that before.

"Robin Gibb embraces BK values "... that was the heading . The terminology "values " indicates positive aspects and deeds . Does eradicating the world by nuclear holocaust is considered positive ? Does emotional detachment from family and society is considered positive ?... and so on .

May be calling them teachings rather than values , would be more appropriate , and better reflection of reality ..!!.

The discussion raises other relevant issues about death and how we deal with it. We apply many different values, or taboos, to human death.

For decades, the BK value was one of emotional detachment. "If your mother dies eat halva" they said, i.e. don't feel, don't have any interest, be happy and celebrate ... and that was the way it was. (halwa, is a treat, an Indian dessert).

Then old BKs started to die, emotions which would have been transferred to our physical family or social leaders were transfer to senior BKs and deaths ... and the ceremonies around them became vast, elaborate and expensive. All against the core of their teachings ... but useful for their PR value. Tradable for further access to non-BKs, especially IPs and VIPs, who did have human values regarding death. Human the god of the BKs call "impure" and "shudras".

Do the BKs feel normal feelings about death? Are they 'allowed' normal feelings? Is their use of such occasion not ... cynical?

If we look deeper from a BK point of view, how would they really see an individual like Robin Gibb? Not a "full BK", deluded, locked in "body-consciousness" but "serviceable" ... as in useful ... a microphone soul.

Do the BK leaders and elite who are allowed to do VIP service have any real sentiments towards their useful "subjects"? Or is their use and reaction to their dying and death not just 'strategic' and calculated?

And then there is the 'lust' issue. Physical love and sex are far more taboo than death for the BK mentality. Doesn't sex destroy one's spirituality ... and status ... within the BK society? At the same time as the BKs were courting him, he was courting his housekeeper and had an illegitimate child.

If Robin had been a BK, he would have been out, in quarantine from Sisters, looked down upon and not trusted with service ... But Robin was famous ... and seen as useful ... so instead he had privileged access to Dadi Janki, and was given the center stage.

I've watched someone die of cancer and felt sincere feelings for people. I just don't think the BK leadership has them ... allows themselves to have them. I want to understand the BK value system.

BK tries desperately to leave an impression ... Either by associating with VIPs and celebrities or wellknown organizations, such as UN. This may reflect sense of inferiority and lack of truth and genuine confidence in their teachings and principles.

Celebrities, such as Gibb, some times do weird things and embrace unknown ideologies, just to be in the news and attract attention ... They just cannot afford to be forgotten ... !!

In Robin Gibb's case, I think it was after the death of his twin Brother, Maurice, died ... which is why I raise Dwina.

I've seen Jayanti Kripalani do in other cases. Long ago after Anwar Sadat died, she flew off to be with Madam Sadat and the fruit of that was Sadat appearing to one of their big conferences. God knows why and how much time she actually got to spend with her but was a big buzz at the time. What real value did it have?

But, listen, for 50 plus years Jayanti has sat listening or reading Sakar Murlis (the spiritual teachings of the god of the BKs) say, "when your mother dies, eat halwa ... be detached ... be happy ... the body is a only costume and the soul is eternal etc etc etc".

Why then when someone does die, either an "impure Shudra" like Sadat or Gibb or an supposedly enlightened spiritual being like one of their own, do they make a big thing of it?

And if they are going to make a big thing of it, and I have seen senior BKs all emotional and tearful ... symptoms of gross body-consciousness and the great "evil" attachment ... why do they go through all the ritual of reading something that has no effect?

I can imagine what is going on now ... subtle phone calls to make sure they are on the guest list, chitchat to decide who is going to go, a Senior Sister and a few 'chosen' obedient BKs with the right face to fit the celebrity crowd, e.g. normal, attractive ... it used to often be an angelic blond/e.

If I am wrong, please tell me.

You can not be more right ... !! It is a big puzzle , why BK always want to be close to VIPs and celebrities, or at least pretend that !!

I recall from my visit to BK headquarters in Mount Abu seeing a fancy large villa, built next to senior Sisters residence. Upon enquiring, I was told that this is built exclusively for the president of India when he visits. According to staff, no one has seen him there, but may be he comes "incognito'" ... !!

BKWSU wrote:Remembering Robin Gibb

The Brahma Kumaris want to express appreciation for the beautiful voice and generous life of Robin Gibb. Time after time in venues from Miami to Oxford to London, he made himself available to serve, donating his time, his spaces in homes, and his reflections on and concern for the world. We are remembering our long friendship with Robin's wife Dwina Whose inner strength and dignity continue to be a source of inspiration.

Dadi Janki's Reflections: His heart was so clear and pure that he was able to easily draw the power of spirituality from Dadi. When Dadi listened to Robin singing the song he had written for her some years ago at Wembley Arena, she was surprised at the beauty of the song. She had the thought that this was clearly the creation of a soul who is very close to God. When a soul in vivid instrument for seeking service, his future will be an elevated one. Dadi is remembering Dvina at this time and sending love to the whole family."
