In common use, chakra is used as a term for ;
- One of the seven or nine centres of spiritual energy in the human body according to the practise of various yogas and New Age teachers
Within the BKWSU no such use is made, nor is the theory of chakras studied, defined or in any way referred to. Chakras are not meditated upon, read nor healed. BK consider them to be elements of the physical body and that BK Raja Yoga works on a higher level.
Chakra is used to describe the Cycle and one of the names of Vishnu, Swadarshan chakradhari the " one who spins the cycle of self-realisation ". Also given by Shiva as a title to BK followers meaning a BK that accepts the teachings of the Cycle and contemplates it deeply.
