LocalSettings.php" The Family ", a term often used by students of the BKWSU to refer to the community of BKs as being their spiritual and therefore real family in contrast to their " lokik " or biological families with whom they have little incommon.
BKs will often consider that they have had many previous lives together and the karmic bonds between BKs is stronger than the karmic bond with their biological family. Some Western BKs will similarly believe that they were Indian BK in their last life.
