Yagya

In Indian culture, yagya mean a fire in which people can make a sacrifice to God. In BK culture, it means the institution of the Brahma Kumaris where (so the story goes) the "students" sacrifice the vices to God Shiva, e.g. as in Rudra Gyan Yagya.

• Sacrificial fire. People come to Raja Yoga to burn their sins through the fire of meditation. This word is used in reference to the movement. Hence, to speak of the history of the Yagya is to refer to the history of the organization.
