Hi

I was wondering from very long time in life who is this guy, OSHO, who have answers to all of our Psychological problems. And he answer every question to its peak and depth to reality. But be careful while reading his books, because he is so rebellious you might gain many enemies around you, if you dont take his words just for your unique being.

I read two of his books before I was BK and also I read his speeches on internet time to time. In my opinion he was God sent to treat any ignorant being.

Tragedy about his death, said by his followers is ,American Govt., while Ronald Regan was president, given him poision fearing mass Christians in US are joining his movement. Also all religious fundemantalist from Hindus, Muslims fear about him as danger to their religion. Thats why he was even banned from his own country,India, to live. Auatralian Govt., have not even allowed him to step in their country and sent him back from the airport itself.

For his wonderful answers, which touching your inner being, to few of your day to day problems, look into this link.

Hello Satish,
OSHO said (extract from the link)
Quote:
But there is a strange story that Christians go on hiding from the world. They say that Jesus was crucified and after three days there was resurrection, but they don't say what happened after resurrection, where Jesus disappeared, whether he died after resurrection or not. If he has not died then he must be around somewhere. But the reality is, after Jesus was taken down from the cross -- and he was taken down from the cross only after six hours. The Jewish cross does not kill anybody in six hours; it takes forty-eight hours for any healthy man to die on a Jewish cross. And Jesus was a young man, thirty-three years old; six hours could not kill him, there is no possibility.

It was a certain arrangement between the disciples of Jesus and Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea where the Jews insisted that Jesus should be crucified. Pontius Pilate was not willing, because the man was innocent. But politicians are politicians. They cannot annoy the masses; they depend on the masses. Unwillingly, he gave the orders for Jesus' crucifixion but he made arrangements that the crucifixion should be on Friday and should be delayed for as long as possible. So in the afternoon Jesus was crucified.

Jews stop all work by the evening as the sun sets on Friday for their sabbath. Saturday they don't work at all. Because of this tradition Pontius Pilate and Jesus' disciples took advantage of the situation. Jesus had to be brought down from the cross because it was against the Jewish idea of sabbath; he would have to be crucified again after the sabbath was over.

He was kept in a cave which was guarded by a Roman soldier, not by a Jew, and in the night he was taken out from the cave. He was not dead... and the most surprising thing is that he escaped from Judea and he died in India. His grave is in Kashmir in a small village, Pahalgam. I have been to his grave. It is the only grave in India on which there is an inscription in Hebrew. The inscription says, "Joshua, the prophet of the Jews lies here in eternal sleep." Joshua is Jesus' real name, his Hebrew name. Jesus is his Greek name.

He lived a long life in India, one hundred and twelve years. And pahalgam in Kashmiri means "the village of the shepherd." Jesus used to call himself the shepherd, and he had gone there with his disciples -- because of him, the village became known as Pahalgam.

The story is repeated again. I was crucified-this time in America... and these seven weeks I have been struggling against the poison.

And I am happy to declare to you that the crucifixion is over and I am resurrected

I'm not sure about this guy? Shocked

Dear Wahl

I too not sure about his stories. But his answers on human pshycology and its solutions are fantastic. They just get you out to core reality.
Anyways the particular story that you read is some thing that I have even seen in BBC program. There is grave of very ancient, in kashmir, which says that it belongs to Jesus. And it is still there.

However Osho tells many other stories that usually don't have any proofs. Thats why I dont understand who could be this man. But his books are very interesting and marvellous, especially his Spiritual meanings, though he has his own beliefs.

Dear Satish,

I actually met one of his followers in college (in the eighties) she was trying to woo our professor who taught ethnic studies via the Native American point of view (spirituality). I remember the gal was in full uniform (orange) and she was dead set on capturing him as he had a following of sorts (students).

When we asked about her after seeing her waiting outside the class room for many days, I recall him saying something like: “Learn to think for yourself, question everything and don’t follow blindly.” Then he said something cheeky as to his motivation for him continuing to entertain her. If you recall OSHO’s early years you can figure that one out. Once they (several other joined her) figured out that he was a leader and not a follower they left.

Also, keep in mind that any association with such a group will lead to an entry in the FBI’s watch list given that they use the group as a case study for teaching purposes for obvious reasons. Please see the link below.

I hope this helps and take care.

Regards,

Tete

Dear Tete

You have got nice link of him. I know him just from his books and some links on internet. The link you have given says some thing different on him. However his followers, whom I met once, have other words to say. But anyways his books are very nice to read.

The important point is his knowledge is vast and is definitely refreshing.

Anyways I think we can't believe any one in this world who are extra ordinary. I never shown interest in him much because I never seen single follower of him who claimed that he/she has enlightened like him. Smile

I heard a simialr story about Jesus but that he escaped and went to England!
Hence the song 'Jerusalem'. The story also goes that he married Mary Magdelin who was the original 'Holy Grail' (a person and not a goblet).
Never heard the India story.

However, teh Christians claim taht after he rose from the dead he ascended into heaven to be with his father. Of course the Muslims claim that Mohammed also rose into heaven. I take 'heaven' to mean the sky. Just what exactly a spiritual being woudl do up there is anybodies guess since there is just empty space and other planets etc.!
