I have heard a little about PBKs and seen their web pages but I wonder, do they have the answers that we seek? ie do they answer the unanswered questions about the cycle (is there one - what about fossil records of early man and animals millions of years ago etc -evolution),life elsewhere in the universe - if it exists there must be more than one cycle or are there multiple cycles? and so on. Otherwise the PBKs are a spin-off religion like the protestans from the catholics.

No, the dinosaur question still goes unanswered!

It seems IMO to be the kind of (R.C. / C of E) schism that as a BK you are told only happens in "other religions" Laughing NOT the only true one Mr. Green

I have heard discussions about dinosaurs within the BK community. I wasn't aware that there was a question unanswered. What is the unanswered dinosaur question exactly?

I think the unanswered questions are did they exist and how do they fit into the 5000 cycle.

Has Shivababa or Brahma baba or Prajapita Brahma ever answered this?

This is not my own theory!.......but I seem to remember being told that the dinosaurs existed for one or two generations only, and that they were mutations of other animals as a result of radiation from a catastrophic global disaster. ?????????????? Anyone else hear of this or did I dream it?
Good science fiction material if nothing else?

Yes I heard this explanation though I doubt it appears in a Murli! I have heard of bacteria mutating quickly but as for lizzards turning into giant lizzards within a hundred years (it would have to happen around now since the next age is Golden without these creatures) - this is stretching things. Also it is known that man was not around at the time of dinosaurs - no human skeletons have been found next to dinosaur ones. Then there is the carbon dating - it may well be innacturate but to be out by millions of years?

The other theory I heard is that mankind re-creates the dinosaurs from old genetic material (seen a film on this!!).

I read something like this in a copy of the BK Purity magazine a few years back (early 2001?). Basically it proposed the theory that a nuclear holocaust would create a huge surplus of carbon, and the earth would become enveloped in a blanket of soupy vegetation which would thrive off of this carbon and convert it back to oxygen. Meanwhile the dinosaur nuclear mutants would consume this vegetation and die out when the vegetation dies out, due to the surplus carbon having been converted to oxygen.. presumably the carnivorous dinosaurs die out when there are no vegetarians left for them to eat??? Meanwhile I assume there would be a few mutant human survivors living in the mountains and caves and doing the 'cave man' thing???

..And then there's the guy from Cambridges' concept of "Unlimited Stills". i.e a Universe of infinite possibilities but the cycle of collective human experience only ever encounters the bones of these creatures. Didn't think his idea has ever given official status or published in the bk literature but they've certainly seemed happy enough to let him peddle it around the global bk lecture circuit for many a year now.
