In this post 911 world, Islam is being discussed and debated everywhere. A young Canada base Muslim woman (who also happens to be lesbian) wrote a controversial book called "The trouble with Islam". In her book, which she sees as an open letter to Muslims, the author Irshad Manji calls for an end to hypocrisy, censorsip and self censorship in the Muslim community. She calls for a renewal of the lost Islamic tradition of Ijtihad, or inquiry. She has also set up an interesting website, where she responds to questions about her book and her views. Here is the link:

http://www.muslim-refusenik.com/

There are some similarities with the XBKs, in the way that the people who have read her book and have written to her are struggling to come out of conditioning - mind / community /cultural control - and are seeking to find and express their own voices, as rational, free thinking individuals. Of course, there are also the die hard fanatics and hardliners who disagree with her vehemently and severely criticise her.

Check it out...and let's read your comments here.

It is my view that XBKs are trying to come out of the system that has been conditioned into them by BKs in the Brahma Kumaris. No one needs to come "out of the conditioning" where godly knowledge is concerned. Where knowledge is concerned, it is just a matter of whether you are practicing it or not. If you are practicing it, then you have a high stage, if not, you don't. The system was created to help / encourage souls to continue practising the knowledge and as a means to adopt and adjust with others who have different backgrounds. The traffic control (5 times a day) is an attempt to adopt and adjust to the Muslims' ways. This may have got started so that Muslims, who have come into gyan, do not feel out of place.

Dear bkry,
Omshanti. The traffic control (five time remembrance of Shivbaba) practiced by BKs is like the five time namaz practiced by Muslims all over the world. Actually, Baba says in the murlis that the children must remember him continuously, even in the dreams. So remembering him five times a day does not appear to be the direction of Shivbaba but the handiwork of some senior BK (maybe Dadi Prakashmani) who has laid the foundation for the Islam religion.

Further, among the Hindus and most Indians a dead body is mostly disposed off through cremation (fire). But, although Dada Lekhraj was cremated as per Hindu traditions within the premises of Madhuban, a tomb (samadhi or shanti stambh) was erected at the place of cremation against the general Hindu tradition and much against the BK philosophy, which says that one should not remember the mortal living body, leave alone a dead body. So the person who influenced this decision to erect a tomb in the remembrance of Dada Lekhraj (Brahma) violating the murlis, indirectly laid the foundation for Islam religion that will take birth in the copper age. Similarly, foundations for other religions have also been laid by the Brahmin souls only, knowingly or unknowingly in the confluence age.

I suppose we all have had trouble with conditioning.
We then felt that we were not free.
We know that our heads are round so that our thinking can transform.
Be free
No limits to spirituality
Revolt brothers and sisters!
Claim your throne in the kingdom of freedom!
Always relate with the essence
The juice of creation
Back to basics
Simple
Clear

I find the dissident attitude among xBKs to be healthy. It is also amusing, not in a degrading way. I'm just simply tickled! Laughing
There is evidence to indicate that Islam, Judaism and Christianity originated from one civilization, that of ancient Egypt.
Of course, in terms of the Confluence, the seeds of all of the major religions are being established by the prophet souls who would be Raj yogis.
The significance of this segment of time of the Confluence is the awakening of souls who were followers in the specific religions.
These souls are not expected to follow all the principles down to the "T" as was done 30 or 50 years ago.
Frank, you are correct. This is the time for souls to establsih their kingdoms.
We should, however, never hate any BK or PBK, even though who had plans to destroy our souls! : Laughing
We must love them all! In our final moments even the most tinge of hate can bring the soul down.
Just keep on loving, forgiving and living.
Never degrade yourselves by engaging those who try to degrade you. Laughing [/quote]
