Hello Om Shanties,
It is a pity that there is always so much labelling going on in BK land. In Holland we call XBKs : The om shanti souls and BKs with Indian background: The Hindisouls.
I cannot feel for this labelling.
I am a soul.
This is number one.
I do not know if I am an XBK or BK, but definitively no PBK, because I only just recently know of their existence.
I have not gone to the murli for some time now and I regret it.
The thing is that I love to go, but do not want to have anything to do with matters of the local centre. I am tired of all gossip and wasted thought. For some time, when I still went to the murly, I felt a lack of intoxication. I never encountered this in Madhuban or Oxford or centres in other countrys. I went on a lovely German retreat in Bavaria where BK and XBK topics were openly discussed and churned. On my first visit in Madhuban I saw everything and went everywhere. Everything behind the scenes. This was an eyeopener. I discovered that Madhuban can be everywhere you want it to be and that lokik and nonlokik individuals do differ less than BKs tend to think. Also I found out that "the BK family" is only a family for those who are spiritual family and this does not involve every BK automaticly, but can invove everyone with a loving heart to the family.
As someone from Holland, not born in bhakti and detatched from the "BK family" I label myself as a Tripleforeigner.
In Madhuban for instance I did not like the idea of being a doubleforeigner. (The white elite sitting in the front)
I still wear my ring everyday and have global contacts with XBKs and BKs in a soulfamily way.
Om Kushi

just a short answer (I agree with what all the things you say though!): why put a label on yourself, if you don't like labels in the first place?
I think it's great to be yourself, and that's already hard enough at some times!
By the way, I have been to the centre of Amsterdam one time and I didn't like it there at all. They are so overdisclipined and "cold". And most of them wear white saries .... something I am completely against. I won't get involved with any cult, and that includes all brahmins that act as such. |

OS Kevin,
I labeled myself as a tripleforeigner. That is more of a joke than me being dead serious. With the German BK & XBKs we developed some sort of bizarre BK humour that even BK Matthew likes. This has to do with the rigidness and stricktness of the BK Holland.
I have a deep realization that God likes and has humour. Humor is a great transformer. Think of that Jew who said that he heared the best jokes of his intire life in the concentrationcamps. This way they gave up hope for a better past.
What do you think Kevin?
Does humour belong in the Murli?
Does God have humour?
Can we make jokes with and about gyan?

of course Franky boy
we would become crazy without humor
But it's difficult in the cyber world, isn't it
I have seen that I am too sarcastic to use my kind of humor in forums, people would just get upset They have to know me first
btw, do you mean matthew from grc? |

Yes Kevin,

Do you Kevin think God has humour?

Hi Arjun,
The title is a joke, referring to His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
Titles are fun, but one should not be too serious about them, thinking about ego.
Love
