|
|
I remember another one of the crazy things the Brahma Kumaris used to claim part of the omnipresent brainwash that swills around their community.
This was a story that circulated that a Senior Sister, alive in this life, was discovered and recognised by their devotees in India.
Now, this relates to the B.K. lore that all the B.K.s are going to become gods and goddess and be worshipped for 2,500 years after their heaven is over.
The story was told to me by the senior sister at our centre about how in India B.K. Sudesh was actually recognised by her devotees as being the deity they worshipped.
This being worshipped in the future was one of the carrots offered to B.K. in order that they " make efforts " [ i.e. conform ] in this life.
Some B.K.s were to have lots of worshippers, others only a few. " According to effort " |

I find this really quite ego-tripping concept rather disturbing in the heads of an organisation who purport to be "sanskar-free" |
