Yesterday I discovered this "2005 Homework" book, published by BK, in my BF's office. He left a note there, which requested me to take a look at that book. And, the passages in the book all asked "What Bap Dada wants from you?"
It's mentioned that all BKs are angels that are waiting to be transformed into deities, in the upcoming Golden Age.
Is it true, that these teachings, along with the Murli, are never mentioned to newbies at BK?
Enlight me please. Thanks

That's correct. So you won't hear that BKs will be transformed thusly and souls of other religions punished, and the whole thing will repeat precisely in 5000 years.... not initially. A sign of individuals who are meant to belong to the BKs (and therefore who belonged last time through the cycle) is that they are able to accept these teachings.
The idea of the basic course in meditation is to get people having good experiences, and just exposing them briefly to more potentially troublesome points of doctrine.
Probably you won't hear much about this being the time of world destruction, either. Or that to purify your soul it is necessary to restrict yourself to a lacto-vegetarian diet prepared by BK cooks. Or that celibacy is also required.
So in the annual retreat for professionals at Mount Abu (the one your BK boyfriend wants you to attend) such ticklish subjects are left for the senior BKs. One year I remember Dr. Nirmala (who is in charge of centers in Australia, New Zealand and Asia) covering the BK lifestyle -- BK do's and don'ts -- for international visitors. She can make it all sound quite reasonable while making us laugh with her dry humor.
If you've never been to India and you can take time off from work, I would suggest you go. One thing for sure, the BKs know how to take care of visitors. I was blown away to discover that the waiters and waitresses for the international retreat were among the most senior teachers: they place that much importance on cooking food and serving it with love. |

Oh, I'm considering that too. If it fits my schedule, then I will attend the BK Retreat. Thanks for your response, Joel. |
